Meet your host, Christopher Mantei
I am a husband, father of 2 boys, and a Christian. I am a normal man living a normal life in northern Delaware. My love of radio began around age 5 when started listening to Don Imus daily in the New Jersey suburbs of NYC (I would tune in to Imus all the way through college). As a child I would listen to Mets baseball games on the radio and often fall asleep to them on warm summer nights. My dream to be on the air was fulfilled in the mid 1990s at a small NJ station called WRPR. Initially just doing a music show dedicated to my beloved heavy metal, I soon had a talk show and was a broadcaster of local high school football games. I always handled all my own production and promotion for my on-air work and would strive for the most professional programming I could create. Alas, the "real word" came calling and I went to work in the telecommunications and IT industries for a paycheck. As my outlook on life, politics and morality matured, my love of radio has never left me. I was a fan of Glenn Beck before most heard of him in 2000, and today count Dennis Prager and Michael Medved among the elite minds of our time. Dennis Miller I have always adored, even when he wasn't so conservative. ;) I am extremely humbled and energized to be welcomed into the Conservative Nation Radio network for my return to the airwaves!
I am an abortion abolitionist, stalwart opponent of sharia law, and advocate for persecuted Christians worldwide. I am squarely conservative socially and fiscally, though I have been a registered Independent my entire voting life (until this year in order to vote in my state's primary). I proudly supported Herman Cain as Delaware state director and nationally on Team Cain facilitating other leaders. After Cain's withdrawal, I was asked to lead my state for Newt Gingrich so I did. After the primary season, I was asked to be campaign manager for conservative republican Kevin Wade for US Senate and of course I accepted as I had come to call Mr. Wade a personal friend. In the wake of the 2012 elections, it has become clear to me that my biggest influence will be in the popular culture, as politics is a lagging indicator of where we are as a nation. I will support Rand Paul for President in 2016 as our last real hope for a common sense capitalist society, but my focus will be on the institutional breeding grounds of the Left. To those ends, I have created a company called Trinity Media and you can hear all about that on my show in the months to come.
